atelys : textile art & design studio
Since graduated from Chelsea College of Art & Design in 2002, Yoshiko has been
working as original textile designer with agents in NY, London, Tokyo and China.
The agents exhibit at major international textile trade fairs such as Indigo in Paris, Direction
Print Source in NY / Magic Show in Las Vegas/ Intertextile Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen,
China, as well as dealing with their established local clients. She designs mainly for lady's
apparel targeting young ladies market, but it's also popular for men's apparel and interior fabric.
Her drawing skill can be seen on a BD card published by a British company, Woodmanstern in 2002
that sells at major museums and galleries in USA and Europe. Also her trend forcasting ability
was proved by a dress design for Reem Acra featured on a trend page in WWD in 2003.
She won Sanei corporate prize at New Design competition in 2006. In 2008, she is featured in a book
'New Fashion Print' as one of the 40 leading textile designers and studios from all over the world. It's
written by a British author, Martin Dawber who has published several books specializing in Fashion.
She now established a design studio Atelys Design Studio in Tokyo, working with Japanese talented
designers from Textile Design Association of Japan.
